Hello friends and random readers! My name is Ruwanka but my friends call me Ru. I was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the US when I was about eight years old. I currently attend California State University, Fullerton. I'm a Comparative Religion major with hopes of working in the Catholic Church in whatever area it needs but most likely with youth or young adults. I'm an active member at my local parish which also means I'm a very devoted Catholic looking to strengthen her faith. As far as other interests go, I love music and it is a very important part of my life. I studied piano for about eight years while in grade school and I've been singing for about ten years. I am hoping to return to studying the piano and singing while I pursue my B.A. here in Fullerton. "A true musician respects all genres of music," is a small motto I try to live by. My love of music and worship is something that was handed down to me through my father and his side of the family. But both of my parents have taught me the importance of family. I'd like to think that I'm a pretty open minded person. I respect other people and their opinions even if I don't agree with them. I've been told that I'm easy to talk to and like to think that I'm a good listner. I basically try to be a good person and to love the wonderful people God has brought into my life. I'm very blessed with having caring and patient friends both in Fullerton and in my hometown, Apple Valley, CA.
About my journal. I use it mostly to update on my life so I can look back and see what happened. There will be rants but I hope there will be less of those and more of my nonsense babble. Even if it is nonsense, I hope you'll still read it.
